EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
After attending this educational activity, participants should be able to:
•Apply new technical approaches to specific lesion subsets such as bifurcation lesions, left main lesions, chronic total occlusions and acute myocardial infarction
•Integrate the latest guidelines and practice improvements into the management of myocardial function
•Discuss new techniques under development for transcatheter cardiac valve repair and replacement
•Reduce common catheterization laboratory patient complications using new techniques and technologies
•Critique the latest evidence supporting new coronary physiology and imaging modalities such as IVUS, OCT and FFR/iFR guided stent deployment
•Prescribe the appropriate antithrombotic therapies based on the latest data and guidelines
•Select appropriate mechanical circulatory support (MCS) devices in the cath lab
